Clair Health accepts CSV data exports from any wrist biosensor that captures at least skin temperature, heart rate, and heart rate variability at 1-minute or finer resolution. We have validated integrations with Oura Ring Gen 3/4, Whoop 4.0, and Garmin Vivosense-compatible exports. Compatibility with other devices depends on the data fields included in the export file.

When you first upload biosensor data, Clair Health's LSTM model has no individual baseline to work with. Over the first 14 days of data, the personal calibration layer learns your typical signal amplitudes, circadian offsets, and noise characteristics. Confidence intervals displayed during the calibration window are clearly labeled as preliminary. After 14 days, confidence levels typically stabilize above 80% for most users.

Each day's phase classification comes with a posterior probability rather than a simple label. A confidence of 91% means the model assigns 91% probability to the displayed phase given your sensor data and personal calibration. Days with elevated confidence uncertainty (below 70%) are flagged so you can see when the data was insufficient or ambiguous, for example during illness or missed wear days. We never hide low confidence behind rounded labels.

Your cycle data is your own. On Personal and Cycle+ plans, only you can view your data. Clair Health employees do not access individual user data except for aggregated, de-identified model improvement where users have opted in. Clinical tier patients must explicitly consent to sharing data with their clinician through Clair's consent workflow. We never sell individual health data to third parties.

Hormonal contraception significantly suppresses the physiological signals Clair Health measures. Our model is not validated for use by people on combined oral contraceptives, hormonal IUDs, the implant, or hormonal patches. People using non-hormonal IUDs or barrier methods can generally use Clair Health normally. If you're transitioning off hormonal contraception, expect a re-calibration period while your cycle physiology re-establishes baseline patterns.

The Clinical tier is designed with HIPAA-aligned data handling: data is encrypted at rest and in transit, access is role-based and audit-logged, and patient PHI is isolated per practice. We offer a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) to all clinical customers. Note that Clair Health operates as a wellness and research tool and is not cleared by the FDA as a medical device. Clinical customers should use Clair data as supportive information alongside standard clinical assessment.

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. When you downgrade from Cycle+ to Personal, your historical phase data and confidence interval records are retained for 90 days before being archived. If you cancel, you retain access until the end of your billing period. Annual plan refunds are pro-rated at the monthly rate for unused months.
