About Clair Health

Built on a belief that the cycle is a vital sign

We are a Cambridge-based team building the inference layer that turns wrist-worn biosensor streams into cycle intelligence clinicians and individuals can act on.

Our story

Built from a gap we kept running into

Clair Health grew out of a shared frustration: the menstrual cycle is the most frequently tracked biometric in consumer health, yet clinical-grade cycle intelligence remained locked inside research labs. Wrist-worn devices generate continuous streams of temperature, heart rate variability, and electrodermal data, but without validated models, those streams stay noise.

Jenny, Marcus, and Sarah each came to the same problem from different angles: biosensor data science, time-series model architecture, and biosensor calibration for reproductive physiology. In early 2025, they incorporated Clair Health in Cambridge to build the inference layer that consumer hardware was missing: a multi-channel LSTM-based pipeline that transforms raw biosensor output into phase predictions with calibrated confidence intervals.

In April 2026 the company closed $750k in angel funding and began the early-access program for individual subscribers and clinical partners. The product runs entirely on data users already generate. No new hardware required.

Three disciplines, one problem

Jenny Duan

Jenny Duan

Chief Executive Officer

Jenny's background is in biosensor data science and physiological time-series pipelines. Before co-founding Clair Health she spent years building predictive biomarker models in cycle health research contexts. She led the phase classification research that became the foundation of the Clair inference engine and now oversees product strategy, clinical partnerships, and fundraising.

Marcus Chen

Marcus Chen

Chief Technology Officer

Marcus has spent years building time-series inference systems for health applications, with a focus on LSTM model architecture and wearable data infrastructure. At Clair Health he architected the multi-channel LSTM pipeline and the data ingestion layer that handles biosensor streams across Garmin, Fitbit, Apple Watch, and Oura integrations.

Sarah Okonkwo

Sarah Okonkwo

Head of Biosensor Science

Sarah's work sits at the intersection of biosensor calibration and reproductive endocrinology instrumentation. Her background is in circadian signal normalization and the physiological mechanisms that make wrist biosensors sensitive to hormonal changes. At Clair Health she leads clinical validation, IRB protocols, and the accuracy benchmarking program.

What we are building

The inference layer the cycle tracking market is missing

Consumer wearables capture temperature, HRV, and electrodermal signals continuously. What they lack is the validated clinical model to interpret those signals as phase predictions with error bounds. That gap is exactly what Clair fills.

We train on clinically-labeled datasets, validate against serum hormone references, and report confidence intervals rather than point predictions. The result is a platform that clinicians can cite in care notes and individuals can trust for family planning.

Individual

Accurate phase and fertility window predictions from data you are already generating. Privacy-first, no lab required.

Clinical

HIPAA-aligned dashboards, EHR export, and audit-ready confidence reports for OB/GYN, reproductive endocrinology, and sports medicine practices.

Research

IRB-ready data pipelines, de-identified cohort access, and study-grade API for reproductive health researchers.
